New Dates: Burning Seed 2022(23)
Burning Seed is delighted to announce, following the consultation with Coordinators, Theme Camps, Volunteers, and others, that the postponed dates for Burning Seed 2022 will be 23rd to 27th March, 2023!
Considerations for the new dates included, as much as possible, avoiding clashes with other events, especially other Burns (e.g. Blazing Swan), and providing enough time to complete roadworks to enable site access, given the forecasts for another wet summer. We also needed to avoid the peak of the summer fire season in the state forest, and ensure the safety and sustainability for volunteers and participants. Our preference is also to hold the event during the more temperate seasons of Spring or Autumn.
All current tickets are automatically valid for the new dates. Current ticket holders who are unable to attend on the new dates can register their tickets for resale via the Secure Ticketing Exchange Program (STEP) from midday 30th August, 2022. Given the high demand for tickets in the preceding sales, it is likely that all tickets listed for resale via STEP will be purchased quickly by those who can make the new dates. Any tickets not sold via STEP in a timely manner will be refunded by Burning Seed. This way, tickets can be made available for others who wish to attend, while also ensuring that all current ticket holders are guaranteed a refund if requested. Direct ticket transfers can also be done without STEP at any time, however this must only be done between trusted parties, such as within Theme Camps (don’t get scammed!).
