A Burning Seed Ranger
Rangers act as non-confrontational community mediators, providers of reliable information, facilitators of public safety, and navigators at the edge of chaos. You’ll spend your shifts roaming the paddock, engaging with events, camps and people, responding to emergency situations when required, and being the eyes and ears of Burning Seed.
Trained to do nothing at first, Rangers only step in when the community’s self-reliance runs out. We are not police, nor are we paid security. We are ready to serve.
All training is provided, and you’ll learn Emergency First Response and Ranger Fu principles – great skills that can transfer to every aspect of your life. The Ranger Jedi Council (leadership team) are made up of experts and professionals in dispute resolution, non-violent communication, military and humanitarian law, martial arts, and Burning Seed veterans.
"I started Rangering to help the community. I had no idea how much it would also improve my confidence, ability to speak and organisation skills." – Ranger Snorky
“The day after ranger training, I was up early and I heard a woman shouting “Get the hell away from me!” Before, I would have avoided this, but I confidently strolled over, dealt with it, and de-escalated the situation.” – Ranger Sunrise
“Rangering is not only a fantastic way to meet like-minded people and contribute meaningfully to the burn, but a chance to feel more connected to it as a whole. It was one of the best experiences of my life, I can’t recommend it highly enough.” – Ranger Sparrow Hawk
