Share your experiences of the Ten Principles

Dearest Burners,

Whether you’re an old flame or a fresh-faced burgin, we want to hear your voice!

The ten principles are a distillation of what separates a burn from being another music festival; transforming a movement into a community that can bring these concepts to the world and make positive change.

For newcomers and yet-to-burners, understanding the principles and how they end up playing out in real life can be a real challenge. There is often a huge gap between a burgin’s expectations and the reality of a burn, and Burning Seed is no exception.

So we need your voice!

Do you remember your discovery of the ten principles? Was it many eons ago, or more recently?

Some communities view “each one teach one” as an extended principle, and in that spirit we invite, solicit, urge and entreat you to share with us your experience of the Ten Principles.

Share with us, the community, and future burners what the Ten Principles mean to you. Are there stories you can share? An explanation of a principle that you think doesn’t get enough attention? Surprises you encountered? Tricks or tips you have that relate to a principle (or three)?

We’re opening this right up and there are no wrong answers; so let loose and write something you feel passionate about. But your creativity doesn’t need to stop there - shoot a video and link it to us! Write a song! However you can bring your experience to benefit the community is welcomed and celebrated.

Consider how you can participate in making this radically inclusive community more accessible and understood. We’ll digest your responses and look at ways we can bring this cultural knowledge to the community, starting with the website. All in the name of Participation and Communal Effort!

You’ll find a link to our submission form below. You can either type straight into the form, or upload a word document, PDF, media file or anything else you have prepared.
