After months of deep commitment, long nights, big dreams, and personal sacrifices, we’ve had to make the call: we can’t move forward with this year’s event. Over 720 tickets were sold, but it just wasn’t enough. The mounting costs were simply too high. Continuing would have meant risking not just funds, but the health of the two not-for-profit organisations that own and produce the event. We couldn’t do that to this community. This decision was made with care, humility, and love for all our community members.

We know what Burning Seed means to people. We know how many hearts were already deeply invested in it, because we are right there with you. We’d like to think that this is not a failure. It’s a pause to recalibrate; a moment to breathe, regroup, and remember what makes this community strong.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy, creativity and care. To the volunteers, the leadership teams, the camp leads, the creatives, the supporters — we see you. We thank you. We honour you.

Seed isn’t happening this year. But we’re still here. The ember still glows. And we believe it will burn bright again.
